Who Are We?
Gincandescence consists of Ginny Gould and a team of other Lego Ladies (as the children usually call us!). We bring different skills to the sessions, including science, engineering, art and advanced camping skills (very useful when we’re out and about with the Lego Tent!).
We are all fully DBS checked and fully insured for public liability. We are based in Weston-super-Mare and work in North Somerset, Somerset, Bristol and surrounding areas.
Our Lego workshops are fun, creative and educational! Children are encouraged to create and design using Lego in whichever way they prefer to build worlds, imagine stories and explore how things work.
We have a large and varied collection of Lego bricks and pieces that allows children to interpret our theme as they wish, working alone or in groups to model their own ideas.
We also run structured sessions, for example making catapults or investigating how gears work.
We often hold open sessions that anyone can attend, and also organise workshops for groups and organisations on request. Our activities are perfect for home educators, Beavers and Cubs, after school clubs and other groups. Get in touch if you’d like more details.
Why should children have all the fun?
Would you like to play with our Lego collection? You’re never too old to get creative and learn something new. We run open adult sessions, often in a good pub with a selection of ciders and ales on tap, but we also happy to take private bookings. Get in touch to discuss your requirements in detail.
We can bring our Lego to your birthday party! Have a look at our parties page to see how we can help you make an amazing and memorable party for your child. Or, if you prefer, for an adult who still loves Lego!
We work with local schools to provide a range of activities, from relaxed lunchtime Lego clubs to structured workshops exploring ideas such as using gears, building strong walls or making simple catapults. Take a look at our schools page for more information.
Community and other groups
We offer special rates for workshops for groups such as Cubs and Brownies, youth groups and similar. Please contact us if you would like more information or discuss how we could help your group.
